Skills

Back in the day, my first few years working in web development my role was more of a web designer, creating very basic websites. In those days I relied a lot on Adobe ImageReady to output the designs into code. I also designed a lot of logos, leaflets and general branding.

I soon started getting more interested in the interactivity and the actual code behind websites, so very quickly changed my role to front end development.

My core skills would be: css & sass, html, responsive layouts, jquery and working within most known css frameworks like Bootstrap and Foundation. I'd class my javaScript skill level as middle-weight, but I'm starting to use it much more often these days so it's always improving.

I have alot of experience working with CMS's and E-commerce systems like Hybris, Amplience (Headless Ecommerce System) and Piano (Digital Business Platform).

Currently I’m getting stuck into React, JSX and ES6. In all honesty, I’m quite new to it and haven't used it commercially but am really enjoying it. This portfolio was a kind of training/ learning experiment where I used a basic template and gradually added to it.
